The Project
This half bath tucks into a knee-wall nook, with the ceiling angling down sharply on one side of the room. The layout we chose keeps things simple: a single toilet and a compact vanity, connected by warm wood-look luxury vinyl plank flooring that runs wall to wall. The vanity itself pairs a white countertop with a wood-toned cabinet base, and a mirrored medicine cabinet with a matching wood frame sits above the sink, reflecting the room back and making the space feel less boxed in. Chrome fixtures throughout keep the finishes bright and cohesive, even in a room with very little natural light to work with.
The Features
Storage was the real challenge in a room this size, so we built vertically instead of horizontally. A slim black metal etagere rises straight up behind the toilet, using the tall wall space for shelving instead of eating into the floor plan. A round side table with hairpin legs fits into the corner for extra surface space, and a freestanding wire toilet paper stand holds spare rolls without needing a cabinet. None of it takes up more room than it needs to, which is exactly the point in a space shaped by a sloped ceiling.
