This church roof replacement project was pretty satisfying, we can’t lie. From above, you can see the church the way the crew saw it once the job wrapped: two long pitches of dark charcoal shingles running the length of the building, meeting right at the base of the steeple, with crisp lines and not a wave or sag in sight against the church’s light blue siding.
You know if the roof looks this good from above in full sunlight, we really did nail it – no pun intended.
This project was a full roof replacement on the church’s main building, and the photo here was captured by drone after the work was finished. We didn’t get before or in-progress shots on this one, so what you’re looking at is the finished product. New shingles, clean ridgelines, and a roof built to hold up over Wisconsin winters for years to come.
When Is It Time for a Church Roof Replacement?
Church roofs take a different kind of beating than most homes. They’re often larger, frequently feature steeples and unusual rooflines, and they cover a building the whole community depends on.
A roof that’s curling at the edges, losing granules, or showing daylight in the attic isn’t just an overdue maintenance item. It’s a risk to the people who gather there every week and the sanctuary that holds them.
If your church’s roof is getting up there in age or has been patched one too many times, it’s worth having someone take a real look before the next storm makes the decision for you.
Why Fond du Lac and Oshkosh Churches Trust Steve Wirtz Builders
We’ve been doing roofing work (alongside additions, remodels, and new builds) for homes and buildings across the Fond du Lac and Oshkosh area for years. A church roof replacement isn’t a side project for us; it gets the same attention to detail as a kitchen remodel or a new home build. Clean work, solid materials, and a finished roofline your congregation can be proud of for decades.
Whether you’re managing a church building committee, a small business, or your own home, the same questions apply: how old is the roof, what’s it made of, and how much longer can it really go? We’re happy to take a look and give you a straight answer.
